Silver Salmon Fishing on the Kenai & Kasilof Rivers
Silver salmon fishing on the
Kenai and Kasilof Rivers can be some of the hottest and funnest fishing
around. These fish are good at giving anglers a sense of excitement
with their quickness and acrobatics. We offer some of the finest
silver salmon fishing charters available. Whether you want to fish the
Kenai or Kasilof Rivers we can make sure that you are placed with a
professional guide that has a knack at getting you on fish and also
knows how to treat you right.Kenai River The Kenai River has two runs of silver salmon, with a first run that arrives in August. The second run kicks off in September and will peter out towards the end of the month. The average size for silver salmon for both rivers is 10-15lbs with occasional 18 and 20 pounders. You have the choice of fishing out of a power boat or drift boat. We recommend drift boat fishing if you are into enjoying the river around you while you fish. Kasilof River The Kasilof River is very productive for silver salmon during August and peters out at the beginning of September. The advantage of fishing this river is that it is more scenic and serene due to less development and virtually no power boats. This river is usually more productive for silver salmon since there is less pressure.
